Mateos Hits Two Pair

Adrian Mateos opened to 3,200 from under the gun and he was called by the hijack and by the big blind.

All three of them checked the 4♠7♠5♦ flop leading to the 7♦ turn where Mateos bet 5,000. The hijack folded, but the big blind check-called.

On the 9♥ river, the big blind checked then called after Mateos bet 6,500. But the big blind's cards went into the muck as Mateos had Q♠9♠ for two pair.

After some preflop raising and three-betting, Jack Sinclair had called the 71,000 all in of the player seated on the button.

The 6♣10♣J♥ flop gave the button a set but it did also offer up a straight draw for Sinclair. But the 5♦ turn and 5♣ river wasn't what Sinclair was looking for as his opponent improved to a full house to double up.

The under the gun player raised to 3,200, Alin Petrisor Pandilica called in early position, and the player in middle position called as well. The player in the hijack then three-bet to 11,000 and the under the gun player called. Pandilica then four-bet all in, only getting a call from the hijack, who was at risk with 40,300 behind.

Isaac Haxton and two other players at his table had seen a flop of Q♠10♣8♥. Haxton was first to act from the small blind and checked. The player seated under the gun shoved all in for around 100,000, which got a fold from the player in the cutoff. Haxton however, snap called for his remaining 56,100.

The A♠ on the turn meant only a jack on the river could eliminate Haxton, but the 5♣ fell to complete the board and Haxton more than doubled up with a set of aces.

Anderson Check Jams the Turn

Erik Seidel had opened from the hijack and Calvin Anderson called from the cutoff. The player on the button three-bet and both players called.

Three players saw the flop of 10♠2♦3♦ and the action checked to the button, who fired out a bet of 9,000. Seidel folded but Anderson stuck around with a call.

Anderson checked again on the Q♣ turn and his opponent put out a bet of 13,000, leaving roughly 7,000 behind. Anderson raised enough to put his opponent all in and after a bit of thinking, the button opted to lay his hand down.

After Pollak checked the 3♥ turn, the early position player bet 12,000. Pollak looked at the board one more time, and folded.

Bonin continued with a bet of 7,000 and Korobkin called, bringing the 5♣ turn card.

Bonin bet again, this time for 16,000 and Korobkin decided to let his hand go.
