Maksimov Cannot Bluff Jouhkimainen

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Three ways to the 832J turn, Artem Maksimov bet 8,000 and was called two ways by Joni Jouhkimainen and Jason Mercier. On the 3 river, the action checked to Jouhkimainen and he bet 10,000. Mercier folded and Maksimov then used a time bank before raising it up to 35,000.

Jouhkimainen eventually called and was shown the J844, which he had beat with the AAQJ.

"No bluffing with this hat, you told me ..." Jouhkimainen smirked. Maksimov had given the Finn and other players a red "make America great again" hat that all three players involved in the hand are actually wearing.

Lonis Back Above Starting

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Arriving on a turn of 83J10, Jesse Lonis checked from the big blind to Isaac Kempton in the cutoff. Kempton fired a pot-sized 50,000 chips and Lonis called.

Both players then checked on the 7 river, after which Lonis tabled QJ95 for a flush. Kempton mucked his cards and the pot was awarded to Lonis.

"You didn't feel like putting me to the test?" Lonis asked Kempton.

"You didn't strike me as a man who likes folding," Kempton retorted.

Meanwhile, Tomer Daniel took his seat at this table on his second bullet.

Haxton Gets a Squeeze Through

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Najeem Ajez limped in from middle position and Chase Steely did so in the hijack. David Benyamine then made it 11,000 in the cutoff before big blind Isaac Haxton three-bet to 38,000.

All of his opponents folded, and Haxton was awarded the pot.

"I'm on tilt," he added as he stacked up his chips.

Van Loo Picks Up From Andrejevic

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the AJ3 flop, Tim Van Loo in the cutoff checked and then called a bet worth 25,000 by Andjelko Andrejevic on the button. They checked the 8 turn and Van Loo used one time bank extension on the 4 river. Once he bet thereafter, Andrejevic folded.

In the meanwhile, Connor Drinan and Eric Garma have entered the field while Robert Cowen and Tomas Ribeiro have been eliminated.

Livingston Chopped Up

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Livingston had gone all in for his final few chips and was looked up by Roberto Sagra and Philip Wiszowaty, who had created a side pot.

Sagra then check-called a 25,000 bet on the 4Q9 pot before Wiszowaty made it 50,000 to go on the Q turn. Sagra raised the pot to 229,000 and Wiszowaty jammed all in for not much more.

Sagra called and all hands were tabled.

Alex Livingston: AK82 All in
Philip Wiszowaty: KQ75 All in
Roberto Sagra: KKQ6

The 8 river changed nothing, and Sagra and Wiszowaty split both the main and the side pot with trip queens as Livingston took his exit.

Daniel Out In the Very First Hand

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Tomer Daniel
Tomer Daniel

Tomer Daniel had just entered and was in the big blind for his first hand. A larger three-way pot emerged to the Q1064 turn on which he bet the pot for 138,000. David Benyamine folded and Ben Lamb called on the button.

Daniel then jammed the 7 river and Lamb snap-called to first show his 85 for the straight followed by the AK.

Daniel flashed his Q1066 for a flopped set of sixes (and the top two pair on top of it) to bust in the first hand.

"See you soon guys," he grinned and walked out of the tournament area. Not much later, Isaac Haxton took the seat Daniel had previously occupied.

Ausmus Flops Nuts

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus and Tim Van Loo were battling on a flop of QK9. With 53,000 chips already in the pot, Ausmus in middle position check-called a 25,000 bet from Van Loo in the cutoff.

The 7 turn and Q river were then checked through. Ausmus tabled J1098 for a straight and raked in the pot.
