Lech Finds The Hero Call

Michael Lech called in the small blind and another player checked his option in the big blind.
The flop rolled out 9♦6♦4♥ and Lech bet 2,500 which his opponent called.
Both players checked the Q♦ turn to the K♥ river where Lech checked over to his opponent who bet 5,000 which had Lech squirming in his chair uncomfortably.
After some thought, Lech tossed in a single chip and his opponent whipped his cards into the muck frustrated. The WSOP bracelet winner took down the pot without any showdown necessary.
