Lonis Among the Late Night Casualties
Level 25
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Coming off the stream table, Jesse Lonis had seen his stack decimated to around 1.6 million after he folded to a shove and further plummeted on the leaderboard. He then took on Giovanni Zanette and four-bet jammed when Zanette made it 315,000 to go.
The latter instantly called with the K♠K♥ and the ace-queen of Lonis found no help on the 6♠4♠3♣9♠9♣ runout.
At almost the same time, Ian O'Hara also departed after he could not beat the Q♦7♣ of Kenneth Kim in the big blind with the latter rivering two pair on a Q♠8♠3♦9♣7♥ board.
