2024 World Series of Poker
On a completed board of Q♠8♠8♣Q♦Q♣, Josh Reichard in the small blind checked and Jesse Lonis bet 190,000 on the button. Reichard then check-raised to 800,000 and Lonis gave it brief consideration before he called.
Reichard tabled the A♠K♣ briefly as he was playing the board and Lonis won the massive pot with the K♦K♠ for queens full of kings.
Nacho Barbero was seen dragging in a sizable pot after having doubled up by winning a huge flip.
With his cards still face up at showdown, Barbero tabled 8♣8♠ on a board that read 8♥9♣A♦Q♦A♠ for a full house, eights full of aces.
When PokerNews asked Barbero what his opponent had, he advised that the hand he was up against was AxJx.
Shortly after the hand took place, Jared Jaffee was seen exiting the tournament area and heading to the payout desk.
The hijack opened to 25,000 and Liviu-Rodrig Bartha three-bet to 65,000 on the button before Narcis Nedelcu four-bet to 156,000 in the small blind.
Tom Dwan then went into the tank from the big blind before folding to bring a quick fold from the hijack. Bartha thought it over and also folded.
Javier Perez Estevez was on the button and got his last 560,000 in the middle against Florian Ribouchon in the cutoff.
Javier Perez Estevez: A♥K♠
Florian Ribouchon: K♣K♥
Perez Estevez needed to find an ace to win the pot but found none through the turn on a board of 10♣6♣Q♣4♠. The A♣ came on the river, but the same card also gave Ribouchon a flush and the bustout.
Ian O'Hara opened from middle position to 25,000 and got called by the cutoff, small blind, and big blind.
The action was checked to the river on the A♦5♦J♦7♦9♥ board where it checked to O'Hara, who bet 55,000. The cutoff folded, the small blind called, and the big blind folded.
O'Hara tabled A♣9♦ for a flush, and the small blind mucked.
