Park's Pocket Pair Good

Level 9

No-Limit Hold'em

Maxx Coleman raised in the cutoff and found a call from Hye Park on the button. Tom Koral defended his big blind to the 5Q3 flop.

Koral and Coleman checked, with Park tossing out a bet of 2,000. Koral called while Coleman got out of the way.

Both players then checked the 7 turn, with Koral tapping the table again following the 6 river. Park sized up to 7,000 and Koral took some time before making the call.

Park turned over 88 for a pair of eights, good enough to claim the pot as Koral mucked.

Mike Watson fired a bet of 5,000 from the cutoff on the 88J7 turn, with David Funkhouser check-calling in the big blind.

Funkhouser checked one last time after seeing the 3 river and was facing another bet as Watson slid out 18,000.

After taking some time, Funkhouser let his hand go and Watson dragged in another pot.

At a nearby table, Brad Ruben lost the rest of his short stack to Scott Seiver and exited the tournament area.
