Inaugural $1,500 Six-Handed PLO Shuffles Up and Deals at Noon
Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.
Today sees the start of Event #90: $1,500 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This three-day event gets underway at 12 p.m. local time, with late registration open for nine levels (~7:40 p.m.). This event allows for two reentries. There will be 20-minute breaks every three levels, with a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9 (~6:40 p.m.)
The starting stack is 25,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play 17 40-minute levels or down to 15 percent of the field, whichever is later. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 12 p.m. Friday, when the blinds increase to 60 minutes. Day 2 sees another ten levels play out ahead of the winner being crowned on Day 3.
This is a brand-new event for the WSOP.

- There was a sick hand that burst the 2024 WSOP Main Event bubble, a seven-bet jam with kings into aces!
- Speaking of the Main Event, it has reached Day 5, and only 464 players have made it through.
- Matthew Alsante triumphed over a pro-heavy field in the $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event.
