Chad Lipton in the small blind found himself at risk for 960,000 against Daniel Rezaei on the button.
Chad Lipton: A♥5♠
Daniel Rezaei: 9♦9♠
Lipton was on the edge of elimination after the K♦5♣10♥6♥ turn, but he was lucky enough to hit the A♣ river to double up.
Down to 190,000, Rezaei was eliminated a few hands later.
Action started with a raise from the player in late position, which Tommy Nguyen three-bet from the hijack. Yoon Kim was in the cutoff and went all in. Late position folded and Nguyen called.
Yoon Kim: A♦Q♣
Tommy Nguyen: Q♠Q♦
Kim commented he needed to get lucky and got some options on the J♥10♦9♣ board. Both players flopped an open-ender and Kim said he will happily take a chop.
The turn 2♥ and river 9♠ did not bring the desired straight for Kim, however, and he was eliminated.
Cristian Stival moved almost all in from the cutoff for 495,000 and Ben Gazzola big blind announced, "Call" but put in 600,000 and Stival flipped over his cards. The big blind stated, "I just called."
Stival said, "Oh well, my cards are up."
The flop came out with 7♦Q♥5♥ and Stival pushed in his last 100,000 out of turn and Gazzola called.
Cristian Stival: K♦10♦
Ben Gazzola: A♥10♣
The turn 8♦ and river Q♣ gave Gazzola the best hand with a pair of queens with his ace-kicker.
Level: 27
Blinds: 40,000/80,000
Ante: 80,000
On a board of 8♠J♠4♥8♣ Martin Stausholm checked from middle position and John Racener bet 230,000 from the seat next to him. Stausholm called and they headed to the river.
The 5♠ on the river got checked through and Stausholm took down the pot with J♣9♣ for two pair, jacks and eights.
Action started with a raise from the cutoff to 120,000. Andrew Kelsall went all in on the button for a bit over 400,000. David Cabrera Polop then reraised all in from the small blind. The big blind and the cutoff folded.
Andrew Kelsall: K♥7♣
David Cabrera Polop: A♣Q♦
The flop was great for Polop; it was 6♣10♥A♥ giving him top pair.
The turn 6♥ gave Kelsall a flush draw, but it didn’t come in on the river. The river was the 10♠ and Kelsall was eliminated.
