Paur Claims the Pot with Two Pair on a Tricky Board
Level 16
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Taylor Paur opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 16,000 and picked up two callers: Josh Reichard in the cutoff and Yifu He in the big blind.
The flop came 8♣J♠A♠, and all three players opted to check.
On the 9♣ turn, Paur took the lead with a bet of 40,000. Reichard gave it some thought before making the call, while He quickly check-folded.
The K♠ river slowed the action down as Paur carefully checked. Reichard checked behind, and the hand went to showdown. Paur revealed J♥9♥ for two pair, jacks and nines, enough to claim the pot on a fairly dangerous board.
