Chen Decimates Lorgeree

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 4,500 ante
James Chen
James Chen

James Chen opened from the button and Justin Gardenhire three-bet shoved for 15,500 from the small blind. Doug Lorgeree four-bet to 45,000 from the big blind and Chen shoved for 114,000 leaving a single T-500 chip behind. Lorgeree, who had Chen slightly covered, went into the tank for a couple minutes before moving all in. Chen called and was at risk.

Gardenhire drew one, Lorgeree stood pat, and Chen drew one.

Justin Gardenhire: 7x6x5x2x All in
James Chen: 9x7x5x4x All in
Doug Lorgeree: 10x5x4x3x2x

Lorgeree had ten-perfect while Chen was drawing to a nine and Gardenhire was drawing to a seven. Gardenhire bricked after catching another 6x but Chen caught a 3x to complete his draw, sending Gardenhire to the rail and earning a full double up while Lorgeree was left with just two big blinds.

Tyler Brown: 9x8x6x2x All in
Adam Owen: 9x5x4x2x

Owen had the better draw, and he made the better hand as well when he drew a Qx against Brown's Kx.

Depaulo Going for Fourth Straight Cash

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,500 ante

Poker vlogger and bracelet winner Ryan Depaulo has entered the $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw every year since 2022, and has managed to cash every time, even getting a higher placement every iteration.

He just sat down for his first tournament of the 2025 WSOP and raised to 3,000 in the hijack. John Holley then three-bet to 11,000 in the cutoff, leaving only a few chips behind, and called off once Depaulo put him all-in.

Depaulo drew one, and Holley stood pat in response.

John Holley: 10x8x6x5x2x All in
Ryan Depaulo: 7x6x4x3x

Depualo drew an 8x to make a better hand, sending Holley to the rail on his quest for his fourth cash in a row.

Funkhouser Eliminates Vonk

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,500 ante
Marcel Vonk
Marcel Vonk

Patrick Moulder opened the action to 2,500, and David Funkhouser called. Marcel Vonk then jammed all in for roughly 15,000, folding out Moulder.

Funkhouser snapped it off, however, and both players drew one card.

Marcel Vonk: 8x7x5x2x All in
David Funkhouser: 8x6x3x2x

Funkhouser had Vonk drawing dead after he peeled a 4x, rendering Vonk's Qx meaningless as the Dutchman headed to the exit.
