Thorne Hero Calls the River
Level 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Action picked up on the river with a sizable pot brewing in a hand between Shane Thorne in the small blind and Albert Rus in the big blind.
With over 20,000 in the pot and the board reading 8♣9♣8♥J♦10♦, Thorne checked and Rus fired out a bet of 17,000.
Thorne went into the tank before eventually making the call and turning over 7♦6♦ for the straight, besting the 6♣6♠ of Rus.
