Shundan Xiao raised to 160,000 under the gun, Christopher Staats flatted on the button, and Dan Larsen made it 650,000 to go from the small blind. Xiao called and Staats got out of the way.

The flop came 2A7 and Larsen continued with a bet of 250,000. Xiao pumped it up to 750,000 and Larsen made the call.

On the 9 turn, Larsen check-called a bet of 1,500,000 from Xiao, bringing the 5 river. Larsen checked again and Xiao moved all in for 2,270,000 to put herself at risk.

Larsen went deep into the tank, shaking his head, clearly faced with a tough decision. After counting out his remaining stack, he eventually flicked in the call only to see the bad news when Xiao tabled 77 for a set of sevens.

Larsen mucked his cards but the other players at the tabled requested that the hand be shown and the dealer turned over AJx.
