Cowen Takes from Garza

Level 25 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Pot-Limit Omaha

Lou Garza limped in the cutoff before John Pannucci called in the small blind. Robert Cowen checked his big blind option to see the 6J3 flop.

Pannucci checked to Cowen, who fired 360,000 into the middle. Garza called while Pannucci let his hand go.

The A turn produced a pair of checks, and the dealer flipped over the J river. After using a time bank card, Cowen checked again, with Garza declining to bet.

Cowen tabled KK82 for two pair, earning the pot as Garza slid his cards into the muck.

Ben Lamb made it 225,000 in the cutoff. Michael Moncek then piled in his stack of 2,425,000 on the button, and Lamb snap-called once the action folded back to him, putting himself at risk for 2,060,000.

Ben Lamb: AA All in
Michael Moncek: 66

"Keep it high," Lamb requested. The dealer did just so when the K9QQ3 runout did not get Lamb's aces cracked. Moncek tossed his sixes into the muck and was left with less than four big blinds.

Laszlo Bujtas
Laszlo Bujtas

No-Limit Hold'em

Robert Cowen opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and Laszlo Bujtas moved his stack of 205,000 into the middle out of the small blind. Zhargal Tsydypov called in the big blind, and Cowen made up the rest.

On the 43K flop, Tsydypov checked and Cowen both checked to the Q turn, where Tsydypov bet 200,000. Cowen then took some time before he made a raise to around 750,000, and Tsydypov quickly folded.

Laszlo Bujtas: 55 All in
Robert Cowen: QJ

Cowen had paired his queen, which left Bujtas with just one chance to spike one of his two outs. That never happened as the A rolled off, leaving Bujtas out in 13th.

Gabriel Andrade
Gabriel Andrade

No-Limit Hold'em

Laszlo Bujtas opened the button to 170,000 and Gabriel Andrade called from the big blind.

The flop came J3K and Andrade check-called a bet of 100,000 from Bujtas to see the Q hit the turn. Again Andrade checked, then Bujtas bet 430,000. Andrade had 1,420,000 behind and moved them all into the middle, which Bujtas called after thinking out loud.

Gabriel Andrade: A10 All in
Laszlo Bujtas: K10

Andrade had the nuts and Bujtas could only get a rebate on the hand if he found an ace on the river to chop. Instead, the 8 rolled off, giving Andrade a double-up.

"The nuts please," Cowen said to the dealer before the 626 flop was fanned out. Mitchell checked to Bujtas, who announced a bet of 260,000.

Andrade and Pannucci quickly folded while Cowen called. Mitchell then check-raised to 2,120,000, earning the pot as Bujtas and Cowen slid their cards into the muck.

Nick Schulman

Pot-Limit Omaha

Robert Cowen opened to 125,000 in the hijack and Brandon Mitchell made the call from the cutoff. Laszlo Bujtas also came along on the button before Nick Schulman defended his big blind.

The dealer fanned out the 4K3 flop and Schulman announced a pot-sized bet of 590,000. Cowen and Mitchell got out of the way before Bujtas raised enough to put his opponent all in. Schulman quickly obliged, and the cards were turned up.

Nick Schulman: 10765 All in
Laszlo Bujtas: KJ102

Bujtas was able to dodge Schulman's straight draw on the 8J runout. Schulman wished the table good luck on his way to the payout desk.
