Traniello Doubles Up

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Marco Traniello
Marco Traniello

Marco Traniello raised to 28,000 in the big blind, and Glen Cunnington asked how much Traniello had behind. Traniello showed Cunnington that he had 5,000 behind. Cunnington put Traniello all in and we were heads-up to the flop with one player at risk.

Marco Traniello: JQQ8All in
Glen Cunnington: 21057

On a flop of A104 Traniello was in the lead with his queens leaving Cunnington looking for a ten for trips or a three for a wheel straight.

The turn brought a K no help for Cunnington as Traniello's queens still held, Cunnington left with a sweat.

A river card of the 8 didn't change the outcome of the hand, and Traniello doubled to 66,000 with the table breaking shortly after.

Arieh Rakes in Another One

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

The action started before the flop when former 2021 WSOP Player of The Year Josh Arieh bet 24,000 from the button. Christopher Perkins called in the big blind and Moshe Biton called from out of position.

A board of QQ6 hit the felt, both Perkins and Biton checked. Arieh bet 35,000, Perkins folded and Biton called.

The turn brought a 7, Biton and Arieh both checked.

A 9 was revealed on the river and Biton checked. Arieh bet 150,000 and went Biton into the tank. After about two full minutes Biton flashed the Q and mucked his hand. The table gasped at the queen, and Arieh added to his growing chip stack.

Lok Chan leads all players as they come back from the break and is chasing his second World Series of Poker bracelet.

Chan won the 2022 $2,500 Mixed Big Bet Event for $144,383.

Should he prevail, this event would be his highest score at the World Series of Poker.

Five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Calvin Anderson also came back from dinner break with a formidable stack.

Anderson is looking to earn a bracelet for the second year in a row, as his last top finish was in 2024 in the $10,000 Eight Game Mix Six-Handed Event.

2025 WSOP 'Not Going to Be About Results' for Daniel Negreanu

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu will enter the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) "with a little bit of a different attitude" in his first year of Seniors Event eligibility, GGPoker's top ambassador told PokerNews.

The 50-year-old is coming off three straight losing summers. But that doesn't concern him, especially considering he ended an 11-year bracelet drought in 2024 when he took down the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship. He's more focused on having fun and playing sound poker than the results.

"The World Series for me, it's not going to be about results that much, because that's luck, right," Negreanu explained. "Luck is going to play into the results. For me, I want to have a good time."
