Smith Soars

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Howard Smith has risen past the seven-figure mark in the late stages of Day 1.

Smith raised from under the gun to 40,000. The action folded around to Connor Lee in the big blind, who came along with a call.

The flop of 1068 and 3 turn led to two rounds of checks from Lee and Smith.

Lee slid out 35,000 on the K river but was met with a raise to 120,000 by Smith.

Lee gave it some thought before relinquishing his hand.
