Blum Doubles with Straight

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The hand began when Tony Sinishtaj raised to 4,000 and was met with a raise by Jacob Smith to 8,000. Bastian Blum chose to jam for 30,000 even leading to a fold from Sinishtaj. Smith called and cards were on their back.

Smith held the lead going into the runout but the board of 35747 improved Blum to a straight leaving Smith short with 15,000.

Shulman's Set is Good

TJ Shulman led out for 14,000 on the board of 685J which was called by Jerry Urdanivia in the next seat over.

The K river did not slow Shulman down as he bet 13,000. Urdanivia called to lead to a showdown.

Shulman showed 10755 for a flopped set as Urdanivia's hand hit the muck.

Rigby On a Roll

Nicholas Rigby is on an absolute tear through the early levels of Day 1.

Rigby raised to 5,000 from the button, Ray Chan called, Cody Ross called.

The flop came K85 which all the players checked.

The turn came a 10 and Rigby bet 20,000. Chan and Ross folded, and Rigby flashed Kx5x as he raked in the pot. Rigby stacked the chips and was at a chip stack of upwards of 375,000. Shortly after Cody Ross was eliminated.

Jaureuireynoso's Two Pair Good For a Double

The action began with a majority of the table limping in for 1000, Jaureuireynoso raised from the big blind to 7,000. Shahrooz Tavakol Robert Gill, Melissa Frinter, Erick Lindgren folded. Fabian Rolli called and we were heads up to the flop.

The dealer revealed a board of 824 and both players checked.

The turn brought action to the table with a K, Rolli went all in for 32,000 and Jaureuireynoso called.

Rolli had Jaureuireynoso dominated on the turn, but the good news was short-lived as the river brought a 9, giving Jaureuireynoso a bigger two pair and a double up.

Natalia Rozova committed her whole stack on the flop of 5A2 and was called by Chuning Tan.

Tan's flopped straight was too much to overcome for Rozova when the 7 turn and the 10 river offered no improvement sending Rozova to the rail.

Christian Doubles through Kozonis

A total of approximately 31,000 was in the pot when Alexander Christian led out for 31,000 on the board of 7Q10 leading to a call from Angelo Kozonis on the button.

Christian led out for his final 3,200 which was promptly called by Kozonis on the 2 turn putting Christian at risk.

Christian held two pair while Kozonis held a flush draw and a pair.

The 5 river was no help to Kozonis as Christian doubled up.
