Another Straight Flush Over Quads

All the chips were in the middle when live reporting showed up to the table as players erupted over yet another vicious bad beat.

The only action known before the flop as told to our live reporting team was that it was a family pot with all 6 players at the short-handed table calling 2,500 before the flops it was the last hand before the break. Alan Carlson was all in for 75,000.

Alan Carlson held the 9568 on a 647 flop for the nut straight while, Haim Nagar held 3358 for a lower straight, While Joesph Michelau held KK44 for a flopped set.

The turn was great for Michelau as the 4 gave him quads and the lead in which seemed like an unbeatable hand.

With one card to come, the river was a brutal one for Michelau as the 8 gave Carlson a straight flush. Nagar was eliminated right before the second break of the day.

Haim Nagar, Dennis Yano, and Carlos Mendez checked to Alan Carlson who bet 24,000.

Nagar, Yano, and Mendez folded awarding the pot to Carlson.

Ryan Plant began the hand with a raise to 2,800 from under the gun. Christopher Gregg came along from the next seat over, and Salem Habash called from small blind.

The flop of A2Q resulted in a round of checks.

Plant and Gregg checked the 8 turn before Habash slid out 5,200. Both Plant and Gregg called.

Plant opted to shove on the 2 river after giving it some thought. Gregg called and Habash folded putting Plant at risk.

Edward Ellson raised to 1,800 before the flop. Brian Alioa, Eduardo Flores, and John Leeper all called.

The flop came 87J. Ellson bet 3,000, Alioa folded, Flores called, and Leeper folded.

The turn brought action with the 8. Ellson went all in for 15,000 and Flores snap-called.
