Williams Almost Doubles his Stack

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Benjamin Williams
Benjamin Williams

In an unusual turn of events, Scott Bohlman accidentally limped on the button, intending to raise but not putting out enough chips, so it was ruled a limp. Umesh Babusukumar seized the opportunity with a raise to 1,100,000 from the small blind, only to face a massive three-bet from Benjamin Williams in the big blind, who committed 4,465,000—leaving just 250,000 behind.

Bohlman got out of the way, and Babusukumar made the call, but mistakenly believed Williams was already all in and tried to table his hand. The dealer quickly stopped him, reminding the players that the action was still live.

Before the flop was dealt, Babusukumar tossed in the remaining chips to officially put Williams all in, and Williams snap-called as the cards hit the felt.

Benjamin Williams: QQ All in
Umesh Babusukumar: 1010

The board came out with J5J97, and Williams' superior two pair earned him a bountiful pot.

Smith Shoves; Zhou Gets Value

Level 32 : Blinds 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

The first two hands back from dinner brought some action.

First, Rafael Mota raised from middle position to 500,000 and Dusti Smith shipped in her stack of 6,405,000 from the small blind. When it got back to Mota, he tanked for around a minute before letting it go.

Next, Scott Bohlman opened to 480,000 from middle position and Quan Zhou called in the big blind.

They checked to the river on the 874Q4 board, where Zhou led out for 780,000. Bohlman called.

Zhou then flipped Q10 for a pair of queens, and Bohlman mucked.

Williams Limp-Shoves

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

When the action got to Benjamin Williams in the small blind, he limped in. Dusti Smith was in the big blind and put in a raise to 715,000, then Williams shoved for 4,385,000.

Smith had a bigger stack, but not by much and was considering how to proceed for around three minutes, Eventually, she stood up, looked at her cards for the last time, and tossed them into the middle of the table face down.

First Limped Pot

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

In a tournament where aggression is the norm, a limped pot is a rare sight—but that's exactly what unfolded. Xiaohu Liu limped from middle position, Quan Zhou followed suit, and both blinds came along, with Umesh Babusukumar completing from the small blind and Benjamin Williams checking his option.

The flop arrived with AQQ, a board that rarely rewards passive play unless someone’s been slow-playing a monster. Surprisingly, the action checked all the way around.

The 5 hit the turn, and once again, no one bit—check, check, check, check.

On the river 6, Babusukumar took a stab and bet out 500,000, and everyone folded except Liu, who made the call and flipped over the winning hand with A10 for two pair aces and queens. Umesh Babusukumar showed 53 for two pair queens and fives.

Henrik Juncker Eliminated in 8th Place ($49,421)

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Henrik Juncker
Henrik Juncker

Dusti Smith opened to 375,000 from middle position and Henrik Juncker shoved 595,000 from the hijack. Quan Zhou was on the button and put in a tiny four-bet to 865,000, then Smith put in a gigantic five-bet to 3,590,000. After some time thinking, Zhou called, leaving himself around 2,800,000 behind.

When the dealer put out a flop of J52, Smith instantly moved all in, and Zhou snap-called for 2,810,000.

Henrik Juncker: A9 All in
Quan Zhou: JJ All in
Dusti Smith: AK

Zhou had flopped top set and was a huge favorite to storm into the chip lead. The 5 turn made that happen as Zhou made a boat, leaving both Juncker and Smith drawing dead. A meaningless 4 hit the river, and Juncker hit the rail as Zhou took the chip lead.

Quan Zhou
Quan Zhou

Xiaohu Liu completed the small blind and Quan Zhou checked out of the big blind. The dealer showed the flop K24. where Liu bet 175,000 and got raised to 420,000 by Zhou. Liu called.

The turn revealed Q and both players checked to the river 5. Liu continued and bet 300,000, Zhou went all-in with the bigger stack and Liu called with around 2,500,000 behind.

Zhou had already accepted defeat and turned over his J9 as Liu flipped over A3 for a wheel to double up.

Samy Dubonnet Eliminated in 11th Place ($30,161)

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Samy Dubonnet
Samy Dubonnet

Samy Dubonnet shoved from under the gun for 805,000 and Xiaohu Liu three-bet to 1,900,000 from the cutoff. When it got to Scott Bohlman in the small blind, he shoved for 2,910,000, and Liu put in the extra to leave two players at risk.

Samy Dubonnet: A9 All in
Scott Bohlman: JJ All in
Xiaohu Liu: 1010

Bohlman had the best of it preflop with his pocket jacks, but Dubonnet had an ace and was looking to find it for a triple-up. The 92K flop did give Dubonnet a few more outs as he paired his nine, but the jacks of Bohlman were still in front.

A 2 on the turn was a brick, as was the 4 river, which meant Dubonnet hit the rail and Bohlman more than doubled up.
