Capobianco Doubles Back to Eight Figures

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Juan Capobianco open-shoved his 5,300,000 in from the hijack. Santtu Leinonen confirmed the count in the big blind before making the call.

Santtu Leinonen: A2 All in
Juan Capobianco: AQ

Capobianco had the dominating hand, but the 56J7 turn provided a sweat. Leinonen's flush draw bricked on the 3 turn, however, and Capobianco doubled to a stack of 15 big blinds.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has officially launched its new WSOP+ app for the 2025 series in Las Vegas, promising to dramatically improve the player experience by reducing wait times and streamlining event access.

"WSOP+ will further elevate the WSOP experience for all of our players," said Ty Stewart, CEO of the World Series of Poker. "Not only can our community now save time and effort by registering in advance for their favorite tournaments, but the app will also showcase WSOP content and all of the important event information that participants are eager to have at their fingertips!"

Olejniczak Doubles, Datta Dusted

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Danny Olejniczak moved all in for 6,500,000 on the button. Sergei Petrushevskii called off in the small blind, and the cards were tabled.

Danny Olejniczak: A8 All in
Sergei Petrushevskii: KJ

Olejniczak flopped trips on the 886 to leave Petrushevskii drawing dead on the 10 turn. The K river did not matter anymore as Olejniczak raked in his double-up.

One hand later, Sanjeev Datta put in his remaining 4,500,000 from early position. Carlos Caldas, who had taken the seat of the recently busted Juan Capobianco, asked for a count in the big blind, calling shortly after.

Sanjeev Datta: A4 All in
Carlos Caldas: A5

Caldas' higher kicker remained in play on the 2K739 runout, eliminating Datta.

Simonsen Tanks and Makes a Huge Call

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

The board read 1095K with around 4,500,000 in the middle.

Brandon Simonsen had bet 3,200,000 from under the gun, and Mark Tornai raised it up to 8,400,000 from the button. Simonsen took some time before making the call.

The river completed the board with the 2. Simonsen checked for the final time before Tornai pushed all his chips over the line. The dealer confirmed that Tornai had 9,700,000 left, and Simonsen jumped into the tank.

"Wish I had played with you more," Simonsen commented but was met with no response by Tornai. After a few more minutes, Simonsen apologized for the long tank to the rest of the table.

A few more minutes later, the clock was called. The floor came over and gave Simonsen 30 seconds to make a decision, he cut out calling chips and pushed them into the pot for the call.

Tornai tabled the 44 for Simonsen to flip over his 55 for the set of fives to show he had made the right call.

Kaiwen Wei in the big blind and Scott Webber in middle position were heads up on a turn of 67Q8. Wei checked to Webber, who shoved his stack of 7,500,000 into the pot of 9,500,000.

Wei snap-called with the covering stack, and both players revealed their cards.

Scott Webber: AQ All in
Kaiwen Wei: 66

Webber's top pair was drawing dead against the set of Wei. The inconsequential 4 river rolled off as Webber said his goodbyes and left to pick up his cash.
