Set Over Set Helps Kawamoto to Double

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Mark Kawamoto
Mark Kawamoto

Mark Kawamoto raised under the gun with only Xia Wang making the call from the next seat.

Kawamoto continued with a bet of 100,000 on the 5K7 flop and was met by an immediate raise to 500,000 from Wang. Kawamoto did some inventory and then 3-bet jammed for 1,135,000. Wang quickly called.

Mark Kawamoto: KK All in
Xia Wang: 55

It was a cooler as both players had flopped a set. Wang needed to find the last remaining five in the deck to send Kawamoto home. The rest of the runout came 4Q and Kawamoto earned a huge double-up.

Lucky Seven Awards Colquhoun the Pot

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Shaun Colquhoun
Shaun Colquhoun

The hand was a battle of two players in early position when Angelo Perez opened under the gun to 100,000. Shaun Colquhoun called in the next seat over, and the rest of the table folded, creating a heads-up pot.

The flop of 595 resulted in Perez checking his option before Colquhoun fired 150,000.

Perez called to bring the 9 turn. Perez once again checked, and Colquhoun bet 250,000, which was called by Perez.

The 7 river saw both players check.

Colquhoun showed A7 for a rivered pair, and Perez mucked his hand while shaking his head.

John Divecha Eliminated in 16th Place ($2,514); Ronee Dizon Eliminated in 17th Place ($2,514)

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
John Divecha
John Divecha

Ronee Dizon moved all in for 150,000 from the cutoff. Christopher Zollo called on the button, and John Divecha called out of the small blind.

When the dealer spread out the flop of 2K8 Divecha shoved for around 350,000. Zollo snap-called.

Ronee Dizon: QQ All in
John Divecha: A9 All in
Christopher Zollo: KK

Zollo was ahead with a set of kings, and if he could fade a spade, or running queens on the rest of the runout, he would bust two players. The A turn and J river didn't improve Divecha or Dizon, and they were both out of the tournament.

Connor Richards

Jordan Russell opened to 85,000 and got two callers in Ronee Dizon to his left and Rick Muniz on the button. Connor Richards in big blind, took a few seconds before pushing all-in for 440,000. Russell folded but Dizon asked for a count.

Dizon separated the amount needed for a call and took his time before announcing all-in. Richards got out of the way leaving the gentlemen to head to showdown.

Connor Richards: KK All in
Ronee Dizon: 66

Connor's kings held on the board of 299J4 securing him a much needed double up through Dizon.
