Set on the River sends Wheeler Through

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The dealer had malice in his plans, as he handed out premiums to the remaining two players on his table, Jason Wheeler and Jeffrey Hong, and it was inevitable that their stacks would each end up in the middle before any community cards were dealt.

Jeffrey Hong: AQ All in
Jason Wheeler: 1010

The age-old adage "there's always a sweat" came true yet again, as the 6KA flop propelled Hong into the lead, however, it gave his adversary two streets to find a spade. The 9 came on the turn, leaving Wheeler drawing slim, and hoping for a black card. The river came red, but it was the one red card left in the deck to give Wheeler the victory, in the 10. "Yes!" he shouted, "Let's f***ing go", as he confirmed his place in the final 15.

Hong, defeated, noted that he'd "just lost a flip for Day 3", but he was ever the gentleman, as he offered a handshake to Wheeler as the two exchanged a few words.

Linyang Song also managed to get past the nine players at his table and will join Wheeler on the felt tomorrow.
