Drew Oconnell Eliminated in 8th Place ($32,640)

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Drew Oconnell
Drew Oconnell

Two time WSOP bracelet winner Drew Oconnell opened to 240,000 from middle position, and was met with resistance from cutoff Michael Rossitto, who put in a three-bet to 520,000. When action was back onto Oconnell, he was beaten into the pot by Rossitto as he put all of his chips at risk.

Drew Oconnell: AJ All in
Michael Rossitto: AA

Oconnell found himself completely up against it preflop, and even more so on the 782 flop, as he was in need of running jacks or a running straight. The case A was dealt on the turn, meaning the 8 on the river made no difference to the outcome of the hand, as Oconnell became second to leave the final table.
