Eric Tang raised to 60,000 in middle position. Yehuda Buchalter called in the small blind before Renji Mao committed his stack of 203,000 from the big blind. Both Tang and Buchalter called, and the 4♠9♣8♥ flop was spread.
Buchalter then led all in for 384,000, folding out Tang and taking the pot to showdown.

"Against that, it's gonna be tough," Mao concluded when he saw the cards. Buchalter's kings held through the J♠ turn and 2♥ river, eliminating Mao from the event.

Claudio Elizalde raised from early position, then faced a three-bet from Darryll Fish in the small blind. Elizalde chose to put the remainder of his chips into the pot.

The 10♥3♠K♦4♦J♠ runout was to Fish's liking. After making it through five all-ins, staying alive in two thanks to the right card on the river, Elizalde's tournament run was over.

Joey Couden under the gun and Justin Liberto on the button were heads up on a turn of Q♣3♠3♥9♣. With 320,000 in the pot, Couden checked to Liberto, who fired a bet of 110,000.
Couden took some time before calling, after which he checked the 8♦ river as well. Liberto upped the ante to 170,000, to which Couden folded after another small tank.

Ronnie Tate raised from the small blind and Elizalde committed his stack of 61,000 from the big blind, putting himself at risk.

Davis Aalvik in the big blind and Grant Hart on the button had each already committed 265,000 chips to the pot when Aalvik checked to Hart on the 2♣2♦9♥K♦ turn.
Hart then pushed all in for 390,000, which Aalvik called after some minutes in the tank.

Anderson and Korn checked the J♣9♦10♥ flop leading to the 9♣ turn. Korn checked, Anderson bet 30,000 and Korn folded leaving Buchman at risk against Anderson.

The river came the 10♣. Anderson was good at showdown with trip nines to end Buchman's run and take the pot.

David Warga tossed in his final 4,000 chips from early position. It folded to Scott Stinson in the small blind, who limped in, and Juan Lamprea checked his option in the big blind.
The flop fell 9♦K♥10♣. Stinson checked, Lamprea bet 27,000, and Stinson made a quick fold to leave a heads up showdown.

Warga's premium hand was still in the lead, but the K♦ turn gave Lamprea trips, leaving Warga with only a few outs. The K♣ river made the start-of-day chipleader quads instead, and Warga said his goodbyes.
