A total of 534 entrants came out to make Event #23: $1,500 Badugi of the 2025 WSOP the biggest ever Badugi tournament ever run. $708,885 was collected to be divided up between the final 81 players.

Pierre Lewandowski raised in the hijack which saw Mike "Crazy Mike" Thorpe call in the cutoff with Ren Lin calling in the big blind.
Lin drew four, to the amusement of his whole table as Lewandowski and Thorpe both drew one.
"You look to me like a No-Limit player," Thorpe opined "you don't strike me as somebody who plays games starting in B."
"Crazy Mike, let's see how crazy you are," Lin said as he peeled his cards and excitedly hopped out of his chair. Action checked around to Thorpe who bet and everyone called.
On the second draw every player drew one and action checked around a second time to Thorpe who bet and Lin raised. Lewandowski pitched his hand while Thorpe stuck around.
"I pat," said Lin.
"Ok, I'm pat as well," replied Thorpe who watched Lin put out a bet. "I think I win."
Lin turned over 9♠8♦6♣3♠ for nine-eight as Thorpe put in the call, but it was second best as Thorpe turned over 7♦5♠4♥A♣ for seven-five.

Owais Ahmed raised in the hijack and Mike "Crazy" Thorpe called on the button.
Ahmed drew two while Thorpe drew one. The action saw Ahmed check-call a bet from Thorpe.
On the second draw, both players repeated their prior draws. Ahmed checked over to Thorpe who bet and Ahmed raised, earning a quick call from Thorpe.
The third draw saw Ahmed draw one and Thorpe stood pat which saw Ahmed check-fold to a bet from Thorpe.
Thorpe turned over 10♥3♥ and tossed his other two cards into the muck as he raked in the pot while exchanging some barbs with Ahmed.
Robert Wells raised in the small blind and in the big blind Brad Whitehouse called.
Wells and Whitehouse both drew two and Whitehouse called Wells' bet.
On the second draw, Whitehouse drew two while Wells drew one. Wells bet a second time and Whitehouse raised him all in which Wells called.
The third draw saw Wells stand Pat while Whitehouse drew two.

It was over as Whitehouse peeled the 4♠ first, making his 9♣ inconsequential as Wells took down the pot.

Jon Turner raised in the small blind and in the big blind, Peter Rouviere called.
Turner drew one while Rouviere drew three and Rouviere called Turner's bet.
On the second drawing round, both players drew one and the action checked through.
The third draw saw both players draw one and Rouviere called the bet that Turner put out.
"Seven," said Turner as he tabled 7♥5♣4♠3♦ for a seven-five and Rouviere tossed his hand into the muck. Turner raked in the pot, fresh off of his 8th place finish in the $10k Dealers Choice.
