Jacob Baumgartner threw his short stack of 650,000 into the pot and managed to pick up the antes as everybody else folded, earning him some valuable chips.
Mass max late registration in a 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) event on Sunday forced tournament staff to redraw seats for the entire field on Day 2.
Event #26: $25,000 High Roller, not to be confused with the $25,000 High-Roller 6-Max that ended on Saturday, had 300 entries through Day 1. But registration remained open for one full level on the tournament's second session.
There was 900,000 chips in the middle and Yang Wang decided to bet 900,000 on the flop from the cutoff. Bjorn Verbakel announced 'all in' from the small blind for 2,100,000, action folded back to Wang and he made the call.

When Verbakel saw Wang's hand he said, "Oh, freeroll," then he scooped this huge pot on the final table with a set on the top board while his pair of Jacks played on the second board.
There was 900,000 chips in the pot as all 9 players checked on the flop. Jacob Baumgartner from early position bet 900,000 on the turn, Yang Wang put the rest of 550,000 into the middle and Samuel Stranak put Baumgartner all in for the rest of his chips from under the gun.

Stranak took the top board with two pair Jacks and Threes, Baumgartner and Wang chopped the bottom board with the same two pair
Robert Klein just took down two pots in a row and is closing in on the chip lead.

In the second hand, Xixiang Luo bet 450,000 on the flop and Klein was the only caller. When the turn hit, Luo checked and Klein potted to 1,800,000. Luo quickly folded.
Yang Wang had his last 135,000 chips in the middle on the flop and was called by Brian Smith, Samuel Stranak, Jacob Baumgartner, Xixiang Luo, and Robert Klein.
The action then checked through to the river where Wang showed K♥K♦Q♦10♣ for a pair of kings. Stranak tabled A♥A♦2♥2♣ for a pair of aces on top and a full house on the bottom, which was enough to scoop and send Wang out in ninth.
There were 960,000 in the pot when Jacob Baumgartner announced "all in" on the flop for 445,000 in early position, Xixiang Luo on his direct left clicked it to 900,000 and Danny Wong pushed his remaining 2,635,000 into the middle. Luo asked for a count and folded once the dealer confirmed the amount.

Baumgartner thanked Wong for the protection on the flop but unfortunately for Baumgartner he was eliminated by Wong's top set on the bottom board and flush on the top. Baumgartner wished him luck when leaving, adding, "Man, what a spot to get back in it".
