Event #24: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Double Board Bomb Pot at the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas started with a lot of familiar faces like Phil Hellmuth, Huck Seed, Jeremy Ausmus and Erik Seidel, but by the end of Day 1, just 162 players remained.

The chip leader going into Day 2 is Samuel Stranak, who became the first Slovakian bracelet winner when he won a €2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event at WSOP Europe in 2021.

Behind him comes another bracelet winner in Robert Nehorayan, who won his bracelet in 2018, although it came in Limit Hold'em. Both players will return looking to become the inaugural PLO Double Board Bomb Pot bracelet event champion.

With a tally of 1,452 entrants that generated a prize pool of $2,002,671 and a 1st place prize of $290,400, the final 218 places paid, with a min-cash being $3,027.

Three-time bracelet-winner David "ODB" Baker sits in the middle of the pack with Michael Mizrachi not far behind him. Last year's champion in the $1,500 Mixed NLH / PLO Double Board Bomb Pot Xixiang Luo also bagged chips, looking for his third career bracelet.

Action was picked up as Huck Seed was all in for 3,000 from early position, David Baker was all in from middle position for 130,000, and Rick Ngo called, covering both.

Huck Seed: KJ1010All in
David "ODB" Baker: AA76All in
Rick Ngo: A764

Baker scooped three-quarters of the pot after hitting top set on the top board and chopping the bottom with Ngo, as both players made the same seven-high straight. Unfortunately for Seed, his pair of jacks on the top board and pair of tens on the bottom weren’t enough, and he was eliminated.

WIlliams flopped two pair on the top board alongside Pope, and a heart flush draw on the bottom board. Pope had a gutshot straight draw on the bottom but no hearts in his hand. The turn and river cards were then revealed.

Williams scooped both boards with a full house, kings full of queens on the top board and a nut flush on the bottom board to send Pope packing right before the bubble.
