Palitz Sees Double

Level 16 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

JA678
A7225

Action picked up after the players had already put all their chips into the middle preflop. Renji Mao got it in from the small blind with AKJ10 and was put at risk by Wayne Palitz, who called with 9773.

Despite Mao pairing his ace on both boards, Palitz flopped a set of sevens on the bottom board, before turning one on the top board, sending Mao home with a min-cash. The table let Palitz know that they were appreciative, saying, "thanks for getting rid of the crusher."

Double Nuts for Tran

Level 16 : Blinds 0/0, 6,000 ante

9K102Q
741068

Panagiotis Vafakis had got it all in and was at risk with AKQ9. Quan Tran had made the call on the flop with QJ89 having flopped the nut straight on the top board, and a nine-high flush draw on the bottom, as well as an open-ender.

Vafakis was looking for a spade or a jack on the top board, and had to dodge a large amount of outs on the bottom. Unfortunately for him, Tran instantly turned the nuts on the bottom board, and held on the top, sending Vafakis packing.

Nuts on Top for Green; Boat Over Boat for Zlotnikov

Level 17 : Blinds 0/0, 8,000 ante

J63107
KA10107

Arriving at the river, Hen Rosilio placed his 130,000 stack into the middle, but pulled 4,000 back after finding out that the pot held only 126,000. Richard Green made the call, and Anatoly Zlotnikov did the same.

Green showed A865 and announced "nuts", referring to his ace-high flush on the top board. Both Zlotnikov and Rosilio were playing the bottom board. The former showed KK64 coolering Rosilio's A10 for a worse full house. He then reluctantly showed his remaining cards, which were the inconsequential J9

Rosilio was left with peanuts, and busted out shortly after.

Nanev No Good

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

QAQ510
A6298

Three players got it all in at the culmination of these two boards, and there was a scramble to find out which one was taking down each board.

Igor Zekster showed down AQ68, as he had the second-best full house on the top board (queens-full), as well as aces-up on the bottom. Fabian Rolli then tabled A1097 to take over the lead on the bottom board with the best straight possible (ten-high). The only thing that would have kept Rumen Nanev alive was two aces, or two clubs. His QJJ2 did not qualify, and the dealer called for him to be paid out.

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

KQ63A
KJ797

Jinyan Hou led out for a minimum bet of 10,000. Only Stephen Graner made the call.

On the turn, Hou continued betting. This time it was for 35,000. Graner stuck around again.

On the river cards, Hou now checked and Graner bet enough to cover Hou's stack. Hou called.

Graner showed J873 for a full house (bottom) and a flush (top), which beat Hou's AKQ2 on both boards and scooped the pot.

Antoine Sankari bet the pot for a total of 160,000 from under the gun and Matthew Tamura re-potted for 565,000. Sankari seemingly tanked while a player at the table pointed out there was a pay jump in 6 places. The clock was called on Sankari as the player at the table pointed out Sankari only had 3,000 behind and the timer was started. Sankari then flicked in the rest of his chips.
