The action checked to Brian Smith on the button, who bet 175,000. Samuel Stranak called and on the turn, he check-called again after Smith potted it to 750,000.
When the river dropped, Stranak checked and after some time, Smith checked back.
Stranak then showed Q♥Q♠8♠5♦ for a flush on the top and a set on the bottom.
"I didn't know what I was going to do," said Stranak, in reference to if Smith bet.
"You were gonna call," replied Smith bluntly. 'I can tell you with confidence, you were not folding,", he added.
The flop was checked through and Samuel Stranak bet 250,000 on the turn. Brian Smith called and Oleksandr Trokhymenko shoved his last 405,000 into the pot. Both Stranak and Trokhymenko called.
On the river, Stranak checked and Smith potted it to 1,615,000. Stranak folded.
Smith then showed 6♦6♥4♦4♥ for a boat on the top and the nut straight on the bottom. Trokhymenko couldn't compete with that as this K♣Q♣9♣3♥ went into the bin.
There were 350,000 chips in the middle and action had checked to Ian Matakis in the cutoff who bet 150,000, Matthew Tamura called in the small blind and Bjorn Verbakel announced "all in" from the big blind. Matakis decided to put Tamura all in, Tamura went into the tank but decided to fold.
Bjorn Verbakel: A♣Q♦10♠8♥
Ian Matakis Q♣9♥8♣3♦
Verbakel scooped the pot as his ace played as the top board kicker, while he completed a straight on the bottom board.
After the flop checked through, Xixiang Luo bet 300,000 into the 350,000 in the middle. Next to act Anson Tsang then went all in, and Giorgos Tsoupras asked for a count, which amounted to 315,000. Tsoupras then called, leaving Luo no choice but to flick in the remaining 15,000 as well.
After the river peeled off, Tsoupras checked over to Luo, who opted for a tiny bet of 100,000. Tsoupras whipped his head round to Luo, and picked up a 100,000 chip with a wry smile. He played with it for a minute before throwing it high into the air. It landed on the felt to indicate a call. Luo flipped over Q♠10♦4♦3♠ for the nut straight and a queen high flush. Tsang had J♠7♣5♦2♠ for no good trips and two pair. Tsoupras mucked his cards.
