The action was checked to the river where Brian Smith fired out 150,000. Ryan Otto called, and Matthias Kribben also called to close the action.

Smith showed Q♠Q♣8♠5♣ for trip eights on the top and a pair of queens on the bottom. Otto flipped 9♣7♠6♥3♣ for a straight on the bottom. Kribben had 10♦8♥3♥2♥ for trip eights on top with no kicker, and just a pair of threes on the bottom.

When all was said and done, Smith took the top board and Otto took the bottom, meaning they chopped up Kribben's chips.

Bjorn Verbakel bet 200,000 on the double board flop. and Yang Wang jammed for 615,000. After a short moment, Verbakel made the call and Wang was at risk for his tournament life.

Verbakel flopped two pair on the top board and Wang held the same two pair, sixes and fours. Wang also had a flush draw on the bottom board and a open-ended straight wrap.

As the turn and river were subsequently dealt Wang rivered a flush, and improved to two pair, queens and fours on the top board to scoop a double up late in Day 2 on his quest for a gold bracelet.

Jaswinder Lally placed a pot-sized bet of 200,000 into the middle on the flop, and action folded round to Robert Nehorayan, who check-raised for a second pot-sized bet of the hand. Lally, with only 65,000 behind, snapped him off.

Lally was holding K♠8♥3♥3♠ for bottom set and bottom two pair, whilst Nehorayan had two pair on top, and a flush on the bottom with J♥10♣9♥3♣. Nehorayan hit one of two jacks to give him a better full house on top, and Lally's boat outs didn't hit on the bottom, sending him home, just having made a pay jump.

Matthew Tamura was first to act on the flop, and he led out for 125,000. Christian Harder called next to act, and Samuel Stranak called from the button.

Tamura continued betting on the turn for 300,000, and Harder called with all his remaining chips for less than that amount. Stranak came along as well.

Tamura bet 700,000 on the river, and Stranak called, and the hands were revealed.

Jeong had an open-ender on the top and turned trips on the bottom, while Trokhymenko had turned a boat on top and had a flush draw on the bottom.

When the rivers hit, Trokhymenko improved to a flush on the bottom to scoop both boards, which sent Jeong home.

Wang showed K♣10♣9♣8♠ for a pair of kings on top and a straight on bottom. Lu revealed Q♣Q♦10♠9♠ for a pair of queens on top and the same straight on the bottom, which meant he got three-quartered by Wang.

Wang had flopped a straight on the bottom and Sahakian's king was best on the top. Neither the turn nor the river changed anything, and the two chopped it up.

"That was a nice little pickup," said Sahakian after the hand.
