Level 17
Per Hildebrand
Per Hildebrand

Per Hildebrand: 86 / 979J / J All in
Mori Eskandani: 55 / 25J3 / 6
Dan Heimiller: QQ / 4QA6 / 10

Per Hildebrand completed before Dan Heimiller raised. Mori Eskandani, the bring-in, called and so did Hildebrand.

Fourth street checked through. On fifth street, Hildebrand put in his last 4,000. Heimiller called and then Eskandani raised. Heimiller called.

On sixth street, Heimiller checked. Eskandani bet and then Heimiller raised. Eskandani three-bet and Heimiller just called. Heimiller then check-called on seventh street.

The at-risk Hildebrand had jacks and nines but saw both of his opponents have better holdings. Eskandani thought he'd won with trip fives but Heimiller had three queens to become the first player to hit 1,000,000 chips.

Matusow Catches Sternheimer's Bluff and Lets Everyone Know

Level 17
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Philip Sternheimer: 8xXxXx / QJ87
Mike Matusow: AKQ / J9Q9

Action was picked up on fifth as Sternheimer called a bet from Matusow. Matusow opted to check-call on sixth after making open nines.

On seventh, Matusow checked to Sternheimer who fired out a bet and Matusow reluctantly called.

"One pair of eights," announced Sternheimer as Matusow windmilled his hole cards into the middle.

"They keep trying to rob me Daniel!" Matusow yelled across to the other table.

Matusow continued his tirade, "You can't bluff me for one bet, stop trying!"

Matusow had two pair, queens and nines, and made the right call on the end that was, in his opinion, quite heroic.
