Quads Over Quads; Steinman Scoops

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Ian Steinman was seen collecting a full double on a board of A2K2A with the AAXxXxXx laid out in front of him.

Ralph Porter was left shaking his head with the 22XxXxXx as the dealer quickly scooped up both hands. Porter lamented the one-outer river that deprived him of a significant pot.

Pearson Doubles Through Leonard

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Patrick Leonard isolated the all-in of Travis Pearson and got heads up to see a full run out.

Travis Pearson: AQ995 All in
Patrick Leonard: AKJ63

The flop seemed fine enough for Leonard when it scrolled across KQ3 but the turn and river favored Pearson as the 4 and 2 fell, giving him nut-nut for a full scoop.

Greenstein on One Bullet; Three-Way All In Eliminates Soer

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

On a flop of A95, Eldert Soer, Barry Greenstein, and Jared Leuzinger all had their chips in the middle and cards on their back. Leuzinger was the only player not at risk.

Eldert Soer: AK1073 All in
Barry Greenstein: AK862 All in
Jared Leuzinger: J5442

With all player holding unique cards, it seemed no matter what there would be at least one player unhappy with the result.

The 4 was good for Greenstein as he counterfeit his opponents lows and the Q secured the high for Leuzinger.

Greenstein is one of the few competitors in the field who has been in his same seat since Level 1, meaning he hasn't had the need to re-enter.

Vieira Sees the Bad News

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Joao Vieira got his remaining chips in the middle against Daniel Ezekiel on a flop of Q65. Vieira had flopped middle set and the nut low draw but soon saw he was in rough shape for the high.

Joao Vieira: A266 All in
Daniel Ezekiel: AQQJ7

Ezekiel's top set was even safer when the 5 paired the board and the 9 was just one pip too high to improve Vieira to the low.

Vieira was seen entering the fray again shortly after being felted.

Hansen Enters the Fray; It's Going To Be a Great Summer

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen, best known for the aggressive style he pioneered in No-Limit Hold'em in the early-to-mid 2000's has turned to a new chapter in his poker career. As of late, he's shifted his focus to Omaha and mixed games. He has made it clear that most of his schedule will revolve around the $10,000 Championship events but isn't limited to them.

Hansen was seen sitting down with a fresh stack in Event #27: $1,500 Big O and will be looking to add to his legacy, chasing bracelets in a variety of poker variants.

Whenever Hansen makes the pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, he makes sure to let the people know, "It's going to be a great summer."
