In the small blind, Mark Darner went all-in and got called by the big blind Jon Vallinas.

Darner spiked a pair on the flop 9♣10♠6♥ but Vallinas' outs increased with a gut-shot straight draw. The turn 6♠ improved Darner's hand to a two pair with the board.

And with the 10♥ falling on the river, Darner improved further to a full house, sealing Vallinas' fate to finish at fifth.

Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi raised to 2,000,000 under the gun, leaving 40,000 behind. Big stack David Mcgowan called in the small blind, and the big blind folded.

Ohulchanskyi asked his opponent, "Do you have a pair?" Mcgowan replied, "Yes".

The flop came down 5♠K♥8♥ and Mcgowan said "I have a set", but Ohulchanskyi wasn't all in yet.

Mcgowan flicked a 100,000 chip into the middle to put his opponent all in, but now Ohulchanskyi had some thinking to do, knowing his opponent's hand strength.

After a brief conversation with the floor about whether he would post his big blind or his ante first in the very next hand, he decided just to throw the remainder of his stack in the middle.

David Mcgowan: 8♦8♠

Ohulchanskyi needed to hit running four-of-a-kind or a running straight, but all hope was lost on the 10♠ turn.

The necessary, but irrelevant, river was dealt the 7♣, and Ohulchanskyi headed to the exit.

David Mcgowan opened the button to 400,000 and was met with a three-bet of 1,000,000 from Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi in the big blind. Mcgowan called, and the pair headed to the flop.

Seeing a flop of J♠3♦5♥, Ohulchanskyi continued for 230,000, which Mcgowan called.

Ohulchanskyi continued the aggression on the 8♦ turn, this time for 525,000, and again, he couldn't shake Mcgowan off.

When the river 7♠ was dealt, Ohulchanskyi hit the brakes, checking over to his opponent. Mcgowan took his time before checking back. Ohulchanskyi showed Q♣4♦ for queen-high and Mcgowan rolled over A♣2♣ for the superior ace-high.

Mcgowan Boosts his Monster Stack

Jon Vallinas limped in the small blind and David Mcgowan raised to 600,000. Vallinas called and both players saw a flop.

Vallinas checked the 5♦5♣J♣ flop and Mcgowan continued with a 300,000 bet. Vallinas once again called.

Cranking up the heat, Mcgowan added 1,200,000 in the pot after another check on the 4♥ turn. Vallinas mulled over the situation for a few seconds but ultimately called.

After another check on the river 3♥, Mcgowan put maximum pressure by going all-in. Vallinas, visibly frustrated, took some time to consider his options. With only 2,780,000 behind, Vallinas couldn't call an effective all-in and folded, conceding the huge pot to Mcgowan.

Action folded Mark Darner in the small blind, who took stock of Alexander Greenblatt's stack in the big blind. Once he had an idea of the stack size, he moved all in, covering Greenblatt.

Greenblatt called immediately, putting his remaining stack of just over 2,000,000 at risk.

Darner's sevens held on the flop 2♠6♠K♦. Trofimov waited for the dealer to complete the board in case a change in fortune happened.

But the turn A♠ and river 5♦ fell without helping him improve. The dealer shipped the chips towards Darner's direction as Trofimov wished everyone good luck.
