Day 3 Started
Action will resume for Day 3 of Event #29: $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em at the 2025 World Series of Poker at noon local time at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.
Day 2 saw 225 competitors return to the arena in the hope of taking one step closer to a six-figure score and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Only 17 players survived Day 2, and leading the charge into Day 3 is Jon Vallinas. With lifetime earnings of more than $2,500,000, Vallinas is no stranger to big field events. His best run to date gave him a second-place finish in a WSOP Paradise event for $622,340.
Hot on his heels, David McGowan (6,215,000) and Travis Hartshorn (4,865,000) complete the podium places, but there are a host of players visible in Vallinas’ rear view mirror.

Paul Runcan moved all in for 795,000, and next to act, Sebastian Crane, moved all in too, covering Runcan's stack.
The rest of the table got out of the way.
Paul Runcan: 5♣5♦
Sebastian Crane: 9♠9♣
Runcan was behind by quite some distance, and the flop didn't help his cause. The dealer fanned out 2♥2♠9♥, giving Crane a flopped full house.
No miracle for Runcan as the turn 7♣ and river 10♥ sealed his fate, and he headed to the exit.

Life Outside Poker is a podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the 29th episode, Connor talks with actress and high-stakes poker player Jennifer Tilly about the 20th anniversary of her World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet win, high-stakes cash games, the recent cancellation of Chucky, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, voicing Bonnie Swanson on Family Guy, dating poker pro Phil Laak, and her goal of getting into the Poker Hall of Fame.
Tilly also revealed that she tried to stop her ex-husband, Sam Simon, from creating The Simpsons and told the story of how she was nearly the voice of Marge Simpson.
Dylan Linde opened the hijack to 210,000, and when action folded to Jamey McKay in the small blind, he moved all in for 1,400,000.
Action folded back to Linde, who called.
Jamey Mckay: K♠10♦
Dylan Linde: J♠J♣
The flop spiced things up a little bit, coming down 9♣8♣7♣. This gave McKay a straight draw, but Linde had flopped a straight flush draw.
The 5♥ turn had no effect, but the 10♠ river gave Linde a straight, eliminating McKay.

On the river J♦, Crane continued the pressure and Darner called once again.
Crane showed A♣5♣ for top pair. Darner mucked his hand as Crane chipped up.
