Runcan's River Bet Takes the Pot

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

On a board of J1049 and a pot of around 300,000, Seunghyun Nam fired 125,000 under the gun after a check from Paul Runcan in the big blind. Travis Hartshorn on the button called and so did Runcan to check the last street.

Runcan checked the 3 river prompting Nam to continue the action with a 270,000 bet. Hartshorn called once again sending Runcan to the tank. After a few seconds of thought, Runcan decided to raise to 1,265,000, making Nam stare at him mulling over the situation.

Nam eventually surrendered his hand and so did Hartshorn awarding the pot to Runcan.

Yang Gets a Save on the River

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Zhi Yang raised from under the gun to 80,000, and Roi Sabag three-bet to 325,000. Yang four-bet all in for 970,000 and Sabag immediately called with the dominating hand.

The board went J746Q, and Yang doubled up his stack with a set of queens.

Ace-High is Good

Pablo Garcia opened for 80,000 under the gun and got called by the button Roi Sabag to see a flop.

Both players fisted the flop 3J5. The turn 2 got another 70,000 from Garcia which Sabag called.

The river 5 was knuckled by both players. Garcia announced, "I only have ace-high," then showed A7. Sabag mucked his hand as Garcia added more chips to his huge stack.

Johnny Chen opened to 80,000 in early position and got an all in shove from Stephen Graner for 550,000 in middle position. Chen snap-called.

Chen was the favorite on the flop 59Q with ace-high and a flush draw. Things changed when Graner spiked a pair on the 10 turn. Chen still had outs to turn the tables around.

The river 10 gave Graner trips which secured him a double up leaving Chen with less than ten big blinds.
