Kempe Wins Big Without Showdown

Sheldon Gross raised to 35,000 from middle position and was called by Brian Shaw on the button. Rainer Kempe then three-bet to 140,000. Gross called, and Shaw folded.

The dealer spread a 8♣A♣Q♦ flop, Kempe bet 110,000 and Gross called.

The turn was the 2♦, this time Kempe bet 185,000 and Gross called.

The river was the J♥ Kempe bet enough to put Gross all in for roughly 125,000. Gross, clearly frustrated by the situation, tossed his cards into the muck.
