Seward Triples

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Nicholas Seward raised in the cutoff to 6,000, Joseph Frei called on the button and Ewen Trevidy shoved from the big blind for 75,000. Seward asked for a count and jammed for roughly 80,000. Frei, who covered both Seward and Trevidy, called too.

Ewen Trevidy: 33 All in
Nicholas Seward: AJ All in
Joseph Frei: AK

The flop looked great for Seward as it came 24Q, giving him the nut-flush draw. He took the lead with a pair when the J hit the turn, and held on the 4 river. Seward tripled his stack, Trevidy was eliminated, and Frei was left with a stack of 27,000.

Vohra’s Top Pair Good Against Sitbon

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Rajesh Vohra opened the action with a raise to 6,500 from the button, and only Julien Sitbon in the big blind came along to see the flop.

The dealer spread 3KA, and Sitbon checked. Vohra continued with a bet of 10,000, which Sitbon called without much delay.

The Q hit the turn, and the action followed the same pattern. Sitbon checked, Vohra fired again, this time for 17,000, and Sitbon made the call once more.

Both players slowed down on the 8 river, checking it through. Vohra revealed AJ for top pair, and Sitbon mucked his cards without showing.

A lot of hope for Ostapchenko as the flop came 8J6, giving him a flush draw, but no luck as the board ran out 3 on the turn and the 9 on the river, and he was eliminated.

"I Had a Pair"

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth raised on the button to 6,000, Anthony Ibrahim called in the small blind and Paul Snead called in the big blind.

Action checked to Hellmuth and he fired out a bet of 3,000 on a flop of 9J3. Ibrahim folded and Snead called. Snead checked in flow to Hellmuth when the K hit the turn and he continued his aggression with a bet of 4,000. Snead folded.

Hellmuth said to Ibrahim, "I would have called if you three-bet me."

Ibrahim responded with "I was thinking of jamming."

Phil then replied "Oh f**k, I would not have called then, but I had a pair!"
