Georgios Sotiropoulos

Day 3 of Event #3: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed at the 2025 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas kicks off at 12 p.m. local time, with 25 players vying to be among the last five standing from the field of 693.

Spanish standout Antonio Galiana holds the chip lead with a hefty stack of 3,615,000, trailed closely by Georgios Sotiropoulos with 3,045,000 and Bradley Gafford with 2,445,000. Each of these players has already made their mark on the felt, and will be focused on turning their deep runs into a shot at WSOP gold and the $582,008 that comes with it.

Renji Mao (2,045,000) and Michael Moncek (1,805,000) remain very much in the hunt, each showing the grit and timing needed to haul in huge pots under pressure. Mao in particular made a statement late on Day 2 when he picked up pocket aces and eliminated both Frank Lagodich and Thomas Cazayous, who had both moved all in holding pocket kings.

The remaining players have locked up $18,736, but they will all be eyeing up the first-place prize of $582,008. All eight final table players will receive more than $50,000, with the top six locking up a handsome six-figure score.

Despite there being an overnight seat redraw, the players will redraw for seats again when they are down to the last three tables with 24 players remaining.
