Owen Happy to Not Break His Ten

Level 8 : Blinds 800/1,600, 2,400 ante

Action folded to Andres Korn who raised to 5,000 in the small blind. Adam Owen then moved all in for 63,000 in the big blind and Korn snap-called.

Korn stood pat while Owen spent a few minutes pondering his decision before announcing he was pat as well. Korn showed Jx9x6x5x2x, but Owen had 10x9x8x5x4x to win the pot and double up.

Paul Volpe was in the hijack with a raise of 15,000 in front of him before Dan Smith moved all in for 57,000 in middle position. Volpe called.

Smith drew one and Volpe stood pat. Smith had 7x5x3x2x, while Volpe showed 10x8x5x3x2x. "You're in trouble," Smith said as he slowly peeled his card, eventually turning over a 9x to make a 9-7 and earn the double up.

Wilkinson Sends Breck Out

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 3,000 ante

Alexander Wilkinson opened to 5,000 from middle position and was called by Brian Breck in the hijack. Dario Alioto then squeezed to 25,000 from the cutoff and both Wilkinson and Breck called for a bloated three-way pot.

All three players took one off and Wilkinson checked to Breck, who quickly went all in for 23,500. Alioto folded, but Wilkinson called.

Breck turned over Qx7x6x5x2x, which was no good against Wilkinson's 10x8x5x4x2x to be eliminated.

Schulman Doesn't Believe

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 3,000 ante

Ben Lamb raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and Nick Schulman defended his big blind.

Schulman drew two and Lamb drew one. Schulman then checked to Lamb, who announced a bet of 11,000.

Schulman didn't take long to put in a call and Lamb said, "I have a pair of tens" — prompting Schulman to table Qx8x7x6x3x.

Lamb sent his hand into the muck and Schulman padded his stack.
