Elias Continues to Climb

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Darren Elias opened to 1,8000 from under the gun and was three-bet to 6,000 by Ryutaro Suzuki from directly behind. Action folded back to Elias, who called.

Elias stood pat and Suzuki drew one. Both players then checked and Elias showed 10x9x8x7x4x, which got a muck from Suzuki to send the pot Elias' way.

Breck Check-Raises the River

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Oscar Johansson opened to 1,500 first to act and was called by Ryan Riess in the cutoff, Brian Breck in the small blind, and Patrick Stacey in the big blind for a four-way pot.

Breck drew three, Stacey drew two, and Johansson and Riess both took one off.

Action then checked to Riess, who bet 3,000. Breck cut out a raise to 9,000 and tossed it into the middle, which got a fold from everyone in turn to award Breck the pot.

Sammartino Pairs as Betil Doubles

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Bariscan Betil raised to 1,300 in the hijack and Dario Sammartino three-bet to 5,500 in the small blind. Betil then four-bet to 14,000 and Sammartino called.

Both players drew one and Sammartino moved all in. Betil snap-called for 27,100.

Sammartino turned over 7x7x6x4x2x, saying he caught another seven, while Betil had 8x7x4x3x2x to double up.

"Eight or seven?" tablemate Jon Kyte asked Betil, who replied he caught the seven. "It's funny that you both hit sevens," Kyte added.

Dzivielevski Gets Aggressive Against Owen

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Adam Owen raised to 1,800 in the hijack and Yuri Dzivielevski three-bet to 7,500 on the button. Owen called and they both stood pat.

Owen then led out for 4,500 and Dzivielevski raised again, this time making it 27,000. Owen quickly gave up his hand and Dzivielevski took the pot.

Owen Gets Respect

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Xavier Kyablue opened to 1,400 from the hijack and was called by Adam Owen in the cutoff and James Obst in the big blind.

Obst and Owen took one off and Kyablue drew two. Action then checked to Owen, who fired 9,000 into the middle.

Obst and Kyablue wanted nothing to do with it and quickly let their hands go — awarding the pot to Owen.

Moreschi Calls Down Betil

Jon Kyte raised to 1,300 under the gun and Stephen Moreschi three-bet to 4,000 in the cutoff. Bariscan Betil called on the button, while Kyte folded.

Moreschi stood pat and Betil took one. Moreschi checked to Betil who bet 5,100, and Moreschi quickly called.

Moreschi showed 9x6x4x3x2x and Betil mucked.

Kyte Doesn't Back Down

Jon Kyte opened to 1,300 from the cutoff and was called by Stephen Moreschi in the small blind. Bariscan Betil then squeezed to 6,400 from the big blind, which was met with a four-bet to 14,400 by Kyte.

Moreschi got out of the way, as did Betil after a bit of thought and Kyte collected the pot without showing.

Lamb Can't Bluff Chambers

Level 3 : Blinds 300/500, 800 ante

Three players went past the draw when Walter Chambers bet 3,500 from the button. Ben Lamb then raised to 14,000 in the big blind.

Nick Schulman folded in the hijack as action went back on Chambers, and he quickly called. "Straight," Lamb said, and instantly mucked his cards. Chambers flashed a 9-8 as he took the pot.

Baxter Raises Morris

Adam Owen, Billy Baxter, and Arthur Morris all drew one and Morris then bet 2,000 from the cutoff.

Owen folded in the small blind, but Baxter raised to 6,000 in the big blind. Morris snap-called and Baxter showed 9x7x6x5x2x as the Poker Hall of Famer, who has six WSOP bracelets in this game, took the pot.
