Tate Doubles Through Theuma; Hansen Out

Corel Theuma opened from middle position and was called by Felipe Ramos in the hijack. Brian Tate then shoved for 53,500 from the cutoff, which got a call from Theum and a a fold from Ramos.

Theuma stood pat and Tate drew one.

Theuma drew a 4x — pairing his four to award Tate the double up.

"I folded a better jack," Ramos added as Theuma collected the pot.

Both players took one and Bromfman turned over Jx9x5x4x. Lamb had Qx9x8x4x and hit a 3x on the draw, while Bromfman pulled another jack to make a pair as the 2022 champion of this event was sent to the rail.

Schrieber Sends Zhu Out

Yueqi Zhu was already all in and at risk pre-draw for his last 20,000 from the cutoff against Matthew Schreiber, who was in the small blind.

Schreiber drew one and and Zhu stood pat.

Schreiber slowly peeled what turned out to be a 2x — leaving him best with a seven to eliminate Zhu.

Gus Hansen registered at the break and took his seat at a table with Jean-Robert Bellande and Benny Glaser.

"Hey FBT," Bellande shouted out to Greg Mueller at another table. "I told Benny that it's incredible to navigate through two $1,500 fields. Then I asked Gus if he's ever won a $1,500 event, and he said he's never played one," Bellande added.

Bellande then raised to 10,000 on the button and Ali Eslami called in the big blind. Eslami drew one, while Bellande took two.

Eslami then led out for 10,000 and Bellande called. Eslami showed Kx10x5x4x3x. "Oh my God," Bellande said, shaking his head as he mucked.

Wilkinson Forces a Fold From Obst

Wil Wilkinson opened to 8,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 22,500 by James Obst on the button. Action folded back to Wilkinson, who called.

Both players drew one and Wilkinson led out for 40,000 — sending Obst deep into the tank.

Obst eventually decided to let his hand go and Wilkinson dragged the pot.
