Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Oscar Johansson raised to 90,000 under the gun and Dan Smith called in the cutoff. George Alexander then three-bet to 360,000 on the button and only Smith called.

Smith drew one while Alexander stood pat. Smith improved to 7x6x4x3x2x on the draw and moved all in, sending Alexander deep into the tank.

Alexander had 590,000 remaining and took nearly five minutes before giving up Jx9x8x7x2x.

Schulman Bluffs His Pair

Level 22 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 60,000 ante

Ben Yu opened to 90,000 from the hijack and Nick Schulman called from the small blind holding Jx9x6x5x2x.

Both players drew one and Schulman paired his six. Yu presumably drew an ace holding Ax9x6x5x3x and Schulman fired 145,000 into the middle.

Yu let his hand go after a bit of thought and Schulman got his bluff through.

Eveslage Gets Paid With Number Three

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Chad Eveslage
Chad Eveslage

Oscar Johansson raised to 70,000 first to act and was called by Chad Eveslage in middle position. Darren Elias squeezed to 375,000 from the small blind, which got a fold from Johansson and a call from Eveslage.

Elias stood pat and Eveslage drew one.

Elias then bet 75,000 and Eveslage raised to 565,000 — sending Elias deep into the tank.

After a couple minutes of deliberation, Elias stuck in a call and Eveslage turned over 7x6x5x3x2x for number three. Elias sent his hand into the muck and Eveslage took down the large pot.

Yu Tries a Trick to Trap Smith

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Ben Yu raised to 70,000 under the gun and Dan Smith called in the cutoff.

Yu stood pat and Smith drew one. Yu checked over to Smith, who quickly checked back.

Yu showed 8x6x5x4x2x. "F**k. Good hand," tablemate George Alexander said.

"There's a lot of tricks up Ben's sleeve," Alexander added.

"Getting dealt the nuts isn't exactly a trick," Yu countered.

Negreanu Three-Bets Eveslage; Yu Practices His Chip Tricks

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Chad Eveslage raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Negreanu three-bet to 275,000 in the small blind. Eveslage folded and Negreanu took the pot.

Ben Yu was practicing rolling a chip between his fingers and having it land perfectly on top of his stack, a favorite trick of Nick Schulman. His failed attempts drew a series of laughs from the table.

"What's your free throw percentage on landing it on a 20-stack?" Yu asked Schulman.

"At least 50. I'll hit like eight in a row but then go cold," Schulman replied.

Schulman was then in the small blind and called a raise of 65,000 from Darren Elias in the hijack. He stood pat and Elias took one. Both players checked and Schulman showed 10x9x7x3x2x, taking in more chips to play with.

"I'm trying for the first time. I'm like an eight-year-old trying layups. Of course it's going to be like this," Yu added as he kept at it.
