Fist Bumps Instead of Fisticuffs

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

As soon as Alexi Siebelcortopassi sat at the table, the fireworks began.

His delay in checking into the table irritated Steven Buckner so much so that the two had a mild verbal confrontation, during which Buckner asked Siebelcortopassi, who is some 40 years his junIor, to meet him outside.

About the time the floor was called, Siebelcortopassi was acting even younger, mocking Buckner by using his balled fists to wipe away fake tears.

"Oh, keep crying like a little baby," Siebelcortopassi said before the floor intervened.

Despite the early intensity, the two Floridians put the argument behind them.

Exactly 12 minutes after the exchange, the two were laughing and fist-bumping each other.

Jaffee saw no help on a flop of 3Q4 looking to make a pair to survive, Gilbert picked up a diamond flush draw.

The turn sealed the deal when the 10 rolled off as Jaffee departed the table.

A river card of 4 made no difference and Gilbert raked in the pot.

Coatar Tried to Eliminate Two

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With Yukun Zhang (96,000 chips) and Dustin Hyer (104,0000 all in against him, Geoffrey Coatar had his sights set on knocking two players out of the tournament.

Yukun Zhang: KKAll in
Dustin Hyer: QJAll in
Geoffrey Coatar: KQ

Not only was Zhang ahead, the flop 6J9 hit Hyer, so Coatar was even behind on the side pot. The turn and river of 27 didn't do him any favors either. Zhang had new life, Hyer was crippled and Coatar was not pleased.

"Thank you big brother, may I have another," he said to the dealer.
