While all eyes were on the hand taking place between Martin Kabrhel and Sergey Lebedev, a massive pot was quietly brewing on the neighbouring table.

The action folded to chip leader Brock Wilson, who raised to 210,000 from the small blind. Pavel Plesuv, who returned from the dinner break sixth in chips, three-bet to 650,000 from the big blind. Wilson used up three time banks before calling.

The 884 flop checked through to the 5 turn. Wilson led out for 400,00 and Plusev called.

The 5 river completed, and Wilson went back into the tank, using two time banks before betting 2,000,000. Plusev had around 1,800,000 behind, and after around a minute of thinking time, he committed the rest of his stack.

Plusev let out a dejected sigh as he saw Wilson tabled 76, which was good for a straight. Plusev revealed he had called with KK before leaving the tournament area.

Level 15 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Sergey Lebedev opened to 125,000 in early position and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 400,000 on his left. The action folded back to Lebedev who shoved all in for 1,505,000. Kabrhel asked for a count and then used a time bank before calling.

As the players waited for the action to finish at all of the other tables, the table chatter began.

"I have aces," Kabrhel told the table. "This is the first time in the world that everyone is cheering for me. Even Chino and Rasty."

Martin Kabrhel: AK

The flop came 653 and Lebedev was still out front with his pair of kings. The 8 and the 9 completed the board and Lebedev doubled up.

Nicholas Schulman

The first week of the 2025 World Series of Poker came out swinging with big bluffs, brutal beats, and more than a few moments that had the entire poker world talking.

Whether it was Nick Schulman dropping the coldest line of the summer, Michael "Texas Mike" Moncek shoving blind into four premium hands, or Christopher Zollo turning a meme-worthy alias into a legit bracelet run, the first seven days of poker's biggest festival did not disappoint.
