Seven Remain Chasing Gold in $1,500 Limit Hold’em

Bobbi Harrell
Bobbi Harrell

The field is down to seven after 491 players took their shot at Event #33: $1,500 Limit Hold’em at the 2025 World Series of Poker. This is a special opportunity for the remaining finalists, regardless of who takes down the title at the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. They all have one trait in common: it will be their first WSOP bracelet.

Finalist Bobbi Harrell had never played in a WSOP event until two days ago when she entered this tournament. According to her husband, she was encouraged to play in the event on a whim as they were in Las Vegas for other reasons.

Harrell has mostly played cash limit hold’em. Now she is rubbing elbows with high rollers and bracelet winners at the final table, such as Chris Hunichen, who she crushed with running quads to surge to third in chips heading into the final day of play. Harrell will begin Day 3 with an opportunity to turn a last-minute decision into the story of a lifetime as she enters third in chips with 2,130,000.

Lawrence Robinson enters Day 3 with 1,630,000, which is unexpected after he was down to hislast1,000 chips before he spun it up with a straight to triple up on Day 1.

Robinson stated that he has primarily been a limit cash game player and has been meticulous about managing his play, but decided to take more risks. Entering this $1,500 Limit Hold’em tournament was one of those ambitious risks, and it is paying off for him as he enters fourth in chips, already guaranteed $15,798 (a 1,000 percent return on his investment) with potential to earn much more.

Anyone hoping to win the title will have to contend with the chip leader, Adam Tyburski, who amassed 2,985,000 during a strong Day 2. Tyburski climbed his way to the top of the leaderboard in second half of Day 2. This is his second WSOP final table, according to wsop.com. His first was in a $1,500 Limit Hold’em Shootout event in 2011. Tyburski has an opportunity to improve on that seventh-place finish and bring home a gold bracelet here today.
