2025 World Series of Poker
Level: 20
Blinds: 10,000/20,000
Ante: 20,000
After beginning with a hot hand, Kristen Foxen cooled considerable in the second level of the day. At the break, she was holding a quarter of the chips she once had.
Tablemate Brian James has dominated play, amassing more than a million chips. He got an early boost in a heads-up battle with Foxen.
Foxen bet into James three times, starting with a preflop raise. With the board reading J♦2♥2♦4♣, Foxen bet 130,000 chips. James played with his stack for a bit, then shoved all in.
Foxen studied the board for some time before electing to fold.
James turned over the 10♠, but didn't show his other hole card.
Players are going on a 15-minute break.
During that time the 1,000 yellow chips will be raced off and colored up.
Kristen Foxen raised in the small blind to 43,000, Alexander Farahi called in the big blind.
Both players checked a flop of K♦10♦7♦. Foxen fired out a bet of 54,000 on the 7♠ turn, Farahi check-called. Foxen continued to bet 48,000 when the 9♦ was dealt on the river, but to her surpise got raised to 235,000. Foxen went deep into the tank before she folded.
John Hennigan raised in early position to 32,000. Lester Edoc called from the small blind.
Heads up to a flop of 6♣Q♣J♠, both players checked.
The turn peeled the Q♠ and they both checked again.
The river brought the 8♣ and Edoc bet 100,000. Hennigan shrugged and put in the call but mucked when Edoc tabled K♣Q♦ for trips.
Despite losing this pot, Hennigan was still healthily doing the color up for the table.
Champie Douglas moved all in from under the gun for 272,000 and received a call from Bart Lybaert from the big blind.
Champie Douglas: A♦Q♠
Bart Lybaert: A♠K♥
Douglas packed his bag and, for good reason, as the board revealed 3♦8♠10♣3♥2♦ and Lybaert's kicker was good for the knockout.
Zdenek Zizka open-shoved all-in on the button for around 187,000 and got one caller in the big blind Anatoly Nikitin who thought for a few seconds with his hands motioning as if he were counting something, then finally made the call.
Zdenek Zizka: 4♦4♠
Anatoly Nikitin: K♠J♦
Nikitin wasn't able to hit the board with his over cards when it ran A♦7♦10♠6♥9♣. Zizka scooped the pot fora double up.
Tsz Ho Chau raised from the hijack to 53,000, and Isiah Ditoto three-bet to 130,000 from the big blind. Chau called. The flop came down with Q♦J♠3♦, and Ditoto checked to the preflop raiser Chau, who continued with 35,000. Ditoto made the call.
Both the turn 7♥ and the river 5♥ were checked.
Ditoto tabled 10♠10♦ and Chau showed K♣J♣ for the pair of jacks and the win.
