Cha Can't Beat Weiss

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Pomjun Cha got his last 90,000 into the middle with Dennis Weiss trying to bust him.

Pomjun Cha: AKJ5 All in
Dennis Weiss: AJ98

Cha was the shortest stack remaining in the tournament, so he really needed to scoop this pot. However, the board came Q93A6, which gave Weiss the winner with two pair, aces and nines. The pot was sent to Weiss and Cha was out.

Brown Keeps His Day 3 Dreams Alive

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown

Catching the action on a flop of J66 with 350,000 in the pot. Andrew Brown was already all-in, and the action was on Christopher Vitch in the big blind. Vitch checked and Ben Yu checked behind from middle position.

The 7 appeared on the turn and Vitch potted it for 350,000. Yu only had slightly more chips in his stack, and after deliberating for a few moments, tossed his cards into the muck.

Andrew Brown: AK52 All in
Christopher Vitch: AK96

Vitch had trips and Brown needed to complete his low to chop the pot and stay alive. The 5 landed on the river to give Brown the low, and he won half the pot.

Livingston Hits the Rail in Brutal Fashion

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Matt Livingston
Matt Livingston

Matt Livingston opened to 50,000 from early position, Eric Wasserson potted to 180,000 from the hijack, Livingston jammed for 520,000 and Wasserson called with the slightly covering stack.

Matt Livingston: AAK10 All in
Eric Wasserson: AA74

Both players had aces but Wasserson had low potential. The 862 flop gave Wasserson the low but it was very likely the high would be chopped.

The 7 came on the turn to pair Wasserson and the 4 river gave him two pair to scoop in a brutal runout as Livingston hits the exit.
