Bruno Furth raised to 125,000 in the hijack and Christopher Vitch called in the big blind.

Furth bet another 125,000 on the 4♣3♣2♠ flop and Vitch called. The turn was the 10♦ and Furth bet 325,000 this time. Vitch again called.

Furth slowed down and checked the 5♥ river as Vitch slid forward 1,275,000. Furth folded and Vitch took the pot.

Weiss Doubles Through Sternheimer

Philip Sternheimer opened the cutoff to 150,000 and Dennis Weiss defended his big blind.

On the 10♠5♠2♥ flop, Weiss checked to Sternheimer who potted for 375,000, Weiss jammed for 415,000, and Sternheimer called.

Philip Sternheimer: A♥Q♠7♦4♣

Weiss flopped two pair but Sternheimer had the better low draw. The J♥ turn changed nothing but the A♠ river was terrible for Sternheimer who made a worse low and only one pair as Weiss scooped with two pair and six-four for the low.

Shaun Deeb raised to 100,000 in middle position and Christopher Vitch called in the hijack. Ben Yu then potted to 450,000 in the small blind and Deeb folded, while Vitch called.

The flop came 8♦4♥7♣ and Yu moved all in for 400,000 as Vitch quickly called.

Vitch already had the nut low against Yu's aces and they were poised to chop the pot after the K♥ turn, but Vitch spiked two pair on the 5♠ river to send Yu to the rail in 13th place.

Allen Kessler raised to 175,000 under the gun before Dennis Weiss potted it from the small blind. After the big blind folded, Kessler committed his stack of around 750,000 into the middle, which Weiss instantly called.

Kessler picked up some extra outs with a draw to the wheel on the 4♦5♥9♦ flop. The Q♠ hit the turn, and Kessler needed some help on the river to double-up through Weiss. However, the 9♣ fell, and Kessler headed to the rail in 12th place.

Soverel bet 75,000 on the 10♠5♣A♣ flop and Weiss called.

Both players checked the 3♦ turn to see the J♠ hit the river. Soverel checked, and Weiss bet the pot for 330,000. Soverel thought for quite some time before reluctantly folding, and forfeiting the pot to Weiss.

Edengren Puts Weiss to the Test

Magnus Edengren opened to 150,000 from the hijack and was called by Dennis Weiss on the button and Philip Sternheimer in the big blind.

On the 8♥6♠5♦ flop, Edengren bet 400,000, Weiss called, and Sternheimer folded.

The 2♦ turn checked through to the 8♦ river which saw Edengren pot for 1,340,000. Weiss, with 1,255,000 behind, had to make a decision for his tournament life. Over four minutes would roll of the clock before Weiss conceded, and Edengren dragged a sizeable one without showdown.
