Oganyan Gives Up on the River

Joao Vieira limped in on the button with K♦J♠ and Aram Oganyan raised to 2,100,000 with 5♦2♥ in the big blind. Vieira called and the dealer fanned the flop of J♣4♣3♠. Oganyan continued with a bet of 1,200,000 and Vieira just called.

The 3♣ paired the board on the turn and Oganyan fired out another bet of 2,400,000. Vieira still called and the 8♠ completed the board. Oganyan checked this time and Vieira shoved all in for 7,500,000. Oganyan quickly threw his missed straight into the muck and Vieira was awarded the pot.

Aram Oganyan limped in on the button with K♣K♦ and Joao Vieira raised to 2,400,000 in the big blind with 9♠4♠. Oganyan countered with a three-bet and Vieira instantly dumped his cards into the muck.

On the next hand, Vieira limped in with Q♦4♥ and Oganyan checked his suited 7♠2♠. The flop came A♠7♥3♣ and Oganyan check-called a bet of 600,000 from Vieira.

The turn was the 4♠ and both players checked to the 2♥ on the river. Oganyan led out with a small bet of 1,000,000 and Vieira sent his cards into the muck.

On the next hand, Oganyan just limped in with A♠10♣ and Vieira checked his option with the K♣7♠. The flop fell K♥8♠5♣ and both players checked to the 5♠ on the turn. Vieira checked again and Oganyan checked it back to see the 7♥ on the river.

Vieira finally came through with a bet of 1,200,000 and Oganyan made the right fold again.

The river was the 6♥, Vieira checked once again and Oganyan fired 9,600,000 into the middle forcing Vieira to fold.

Joao Vieira raised to 1,400,000 on the button and Aram Oganyan shoved all in for 18,000,000 in the big blind. Vieira snapped him off and the cards were tabled with the WSOP bracelet on the line.

It was a coin flip and the flop of 9♦8♠5♥ favored Oganyan with the pair of sixes. The 7♠ on the turn gave Oganyan a straight but Vieira still had outs to a bigger straight. The river was the 3♣ and Oganyan staved off elimination with a key double up, bringing the match close to even.

Joao Vieira raised to 1,150,000 on the button with 10♥2♥ and Aram Oganyan just called in the big blind with A♣3♥. An action flop of A♥Q♥J♣ hit the felt and Oganyan checked to Vieira who bet 700,000. Oganyan called with top pair and the 5♥ landed on the turn.

Oganyan checked again and Vieira tossed in a bet of 3,050,000 with the checkmark already beside his name. Oganyan quickly called and the 9♦ rolled off on the river. Oganyan checked for the third time and Vieira dropped in a bet of 6,450,000. Oganyan flicked in a chip to call and Vieira grabbed a stranglehold on the chip lead.
