Haxton Doubles, Still Short Stack

Joao Vieira raised to 900,000 in the cutoff and Isaac Haxton shipped all in for 2,475,000 in the small blind. Thomas Boivin folded his big blind and Vieira quickly called to put Haxton at risk.

The flop came J♠10♥9♦ and Haxton was still comfortably in front with his pair of fives. The 6♦ on the turn gave Vieira a flush draw but the 8♥ on the river secured the double for Haxton.

Thomas Boivin limped in from the small blind with Q♥4♥ and Joao Vieira just checked in the big blind with a dominating Q♦J♦. The flop came A♣5♣2♥ and both players checked to the 4♣ on the turn.

Two more checks and the A♦ paired the board on the river. Boivin finally led out with a min-bet of 400,000 and Vieira paid him off with just queen-high.

On the button, Joao Vieira re-raised to 2,200,000 holding A♣3♣ and Boivin folded.

A few hands later, Aram Oganyan raised from under the gun to 800,000 holding A♣10♣ and was called by Vieira in the big blind holding A♥J♥.

The flop came J♣8♠6♠ and both players checked.

On the K♦ turn, both players checked once again.

The 10♦ river was followed by two more checks. One pot at a time, Vieira is chipping up.

Ben Heath raised to 650,000 in the cutoff with K♥J♠ and Aram Oganyan three-bet shoved all in with 10♠10♦ as the big stack at the table. Isaac Haxton folded his big blind and Heath quickly threw his paint cards into the muck as well.

On the next hand, Oganyan made it 600,000 on the button with 7♥7♦ and both of the blinds gave way, sending more chips to the leader.

Thomas Boivin was in the cutoff and raised to 3,800,000, the majority of his stack. Andrew Lichtenberger was on the button with 4,900,000 and shoved all in. The blinds folded and Boivin quickly called, turning the cards face up.

The flop came A♣8♥2♦ and Lichtenberger flopped a pair of aces to take a big lead. The turn brought the J♥ to improve Lichtenberger to two pair but Boivin picked up straight and flush draws. The river was the 10♦ and Boivin made his straight to eliminate Lichtenberger in sixth place.
