Ace High is Good Enough

Level 10 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Taylor Von Kriegenbergh raised to 45,000 on the button, and only Ramiro Salinas called, defending his big blind.

Salinas checked the J65 flop, but called when Von Kriegenbergh continued for 50,000.

Von Kriegenbergh turned up the heat on the 3 turn, betting 200,000 when checked to. Undeterred, Salinas called.

The river K caused both players to hit the brakes, and the river checked through.

"I missed", said Von Kriegenbergh, but fortunately for him, so did Salinas.

Salinas turned over 84 for a missed straight draw, and Von Kriegenbergh won the pot with ace-high, tabling A10 for a missed flush draw.
